Job Summary
Under supervision of the Construction Foreman, perform general construction tasks with tasks ranging from skilled to unskilled. Responsibilities include following verbal and written instructions, applying carpentry principles, using hand and power tools, driving company vehicles to transport materials, coordinating with managers and coworkers, inspecting vehicles, and carrying out various manual labor duties such as digging, lifting, laying stone and brick, and maintaining tools and work areas. Requires ability to work overtime, stay safe on site, learn basic construction measurements (foot/inch), and obtain/maintain required licenses and certifications (Class C license, DOT medical certification, Maryland CDL-A within one year). The role offers hourly pay with full-time benefits for both part-time and full-time employees and emphasizes safety, teamwork, and compliance with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license issued by the resident state
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT Medical Examiner’s Certification
- Maryland CDL-Restricted A license either prior to hiring or within one year
- Ability to perform construction-related activities for prolonged periods in adverse weather conditions
- Must be able to stand for the entire shift
- Must be able to lift 80 pounds unassisted
- Experience in the construction trade preferred
