Job Summary
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, pre-packaged snacks, and take customer orders using the Point of Sale system. Verify legal drinking age with photo identification, refuse service to intoxicated or disruptive patrons, and manage cash drawers with start and end-of-shift balancing. Comply with state and local food and beverage regulations while maintaining a safe, sanitary environment through glassware cleaning and bar surface sanitation. Stock the bar throughout the shift and ensure readiness for the next shift. Maintain a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and short-notice changes with consistent attendance and punctuality.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years directly related experience tending bar
- Excellent interpersonal skills and prior experience on serving customers
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly or argumentative patrons
- Must be of legal drinking age or older
- Maintain a current and valid Arizona Title 4 Basic Liquor Law Training Certification at all times
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to include weekend work, holidays, and in some cases schedule changes on short notice
- Maintains a consistent record of acceptable attendance and punctuality according to policy guidelines
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds or more with assistance
