Job Summary
Monitor live soccer and multi-sport data feeds across multiple concurrent events, identifying and escalating anomalies in real time. Execute manual or semi-manual interventions to ensure continuity and accuracy of live data when AI-driven systems face discrepancies or failures. Perform quality checks on incoming data from third-party providers and maintain accurate activity logs throughout each live event window. Coordinate with data and product teams to report issues and contribute to continuous improvement while operating effectively in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment. Available for evening and late-night shifts according to the live sports calendar. This senior role supports a fast-growing sports data company expanding its Philippines-based remote operations team.
Required Qualifications
- 10–15 years of experience in sports data, data operations, or a related operational field
- Strong working knowledge of soccer — competition formats, teams, events, and data structures
- Comfortable handling large volumes of data and working with operational dashboards under time pressure
- Available to work evening and late-night shifts according to the live sports calendar
- Supervisor or team lead experience — you have managed or mentored others in an ops environment
- Clear written English for internal reporting and cross-team communication
- Self-directed and reliable in a 100% remote setup
- 10+ years of experience in data operations
- 10+ years of experience in real-time analytics environments
- 10+ years of experience in trading, monitoring, or operational control functions
- Proven experience in a Team Lead, Supervisor, or senior individual contributor role
- Strong background working within SOP-driven, operational environments
- Demonstrated ability to handle live incidents or system failures
- Demonstrated ability to make fast, accurate decisions under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to be comfortable working in shift-based or event-driven schedules
Desired Qualifications
- Genuine sports enthusiast — soccer knowledge is a strong advantage; familiarity with other major sports (basketball, tennis) is a plus
- Prior experience with sports data providers or real-time event data platforms
- Background in fintech, sports media, or similarly precision-driven data operations
- Strong knowledge of sports (especially soccer/football)
- Experience in sports data platforms (e.g., Opta, SofaScore, or similar)
- Experience in sports media, broadcasting, or analytics
- Ability to apply domain expertise (sports knowledge) to interpret and validate data
- Experience working alongside or interacting with AI/automated systems
