Job Summary
Direct and monitor departmental operations, hiring, training, and coaching team members to maximize quality and productivity. Coordinate schedules, materials, and equipment to optimize resources while overseeing safety, sanitation, and budget execution. Analyze production data to drive process improvements and implement standard operating procedures. Lead problem-solving teams, conduct safety audits, and enforce all personnel, quality, and food safety policies. Manage performance evaluations and maintain open communication with employees to support union-free status. Ensure continuous improvement initiatives are executed effectively while recognizing and acting on safety risks. Maintain a positive work atmosphere through proactive employee engagement and effective conflict management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Considerable knowledge of process operations and practices
- Considerable knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures
- Strong ability to analyze and solve production problems
- Ability to lead and coach employees and projects
- Good English verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills required (e-mail, time & attendance, etc.)
- Good organizational skills
- Good math aptitude
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Valid Pilgrim's Pallet jack license or ability to obtain license within 30 days
- Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Completes Lockout/Tagout training and is aware of requirements for Lockout/Tagout safety as well as the company safety programs and policies
