Job Summary
Develop daily and weekly work schedules for 23-26 farm employees while ensuring animal welfare through daily care of feed, water, and management. Lead, train, and build a successful team to produce high-quality animals in a productive manner, strictly complying with Standard Operating Procedures and biosecurity practices. Control costs associated with feed, supplies, and labor by setting long and short-term targets for breeding and farrowing success. Maintain accurate record integrity, conduct safety training meetings, and perform general maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment. Make recommendations for operational improvements and coordinate special projects while communicating effectively with all team members and upper management.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years sow production experience
- 2 years management experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Previous related experience in swine production of at least 3 years
- year people management experience
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions independently
- Ability to effectively lead a team
- Be a team oriented, self-motivated and positive individual with strong work ethics
- Valid non-expired Driver's License
- Ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with common swine diseases and medications
- Strong communication and listening skills
- The candidate will be required to read, write and speak fluent English

Desired Qualifications
- B.S degree in Agriculture in combination with 5 years sow production management experience
- Bilingual – Spanish
