Job Summary
LIVE IN CERTIFIED - Personal Care Assistant/Home Health Aide: Provide direct care per the established plan of care, including assisting with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, mobility, feeding, and medication reminders. Maintain a healthy, safe environment; offer emotional support and foster client independence. Follow the Nursing Supervisor–prepared Care Plan; document daily on the Aide Charting Sheet; report changes to the agency or nursing supervisor; assist with routine tasks and errands when authorized. Lift up to 50 pounds, assist with certain treatments, and use medical supplies/equipment as appropriate. Requires a Home Health Aide training certificate and compliance with in-service education; must be reliable, compassionate, good listener, neat, and able to interact professionally with clients, families, and agency personnel. Weekend availability and adherence to state agency policies are expected, with compensation discussed as base hourly rate in the stated range.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
- Must have a certificate from a Home Health Aide training program consistent with State requirements with evidence of ongoing in-service education to maintain the certificate
- Must have the maturity necessary for establishing and maintaining a good work relationship with the client, the client's family and agency personnel
- Have a sincere interest in and a sympathetic attitude towards caring for the sick and disabled
