Job Summary
CareCo is seeking two live-in caregivers to provide 24-hour in-home support for a female client in Sanford, ME (shift patterns of 3 days/week and 4 days/week, with a private bedroom and meals provided). Responsibilities include preparing meals and snacks, light housekeeping, medication reminders, providing companionship, and assisting with errands and shopping. Ideal candidates have caregiver/CNA/PSS experience, knowledge of basic housekeeping and cooking, adherence to health and safety guidelines, an understanding of dementia, and a compassionate, respectful demeanor. The role offers on-site housing with a private bedroom and bath, three meals daily, breaks, and eight hours of sleep per night, plus benefits and opportunities for advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Caregiver, CNA, PSS or similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
- Ability to adhere to health and safety guidelines
- Understanding of dementia
- Compassionate, respectful, ethical
- Valid identification (2 forms)
- Smartphone for scheduling and payroll
- Attend and complete an in-person
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be dependable and on-time
