Job Summary
LIVE-IN caregiver for a woman in her late 60s with Parkinson's and memory-care needs in Charlottesville, VA. Responsibilities include IADLs, medication reminders, meal prep, pet-care, driving, and other duties as needed. Schedule is 7 days live-in with afternoons off during the week and full days on weekends; potential vacation/respite time. Employer provides a weekly salary of $110,000–$125,000 (depending on schedule and experience) and a rent-free furnished bedroom with private bathroom. Must have at least two verifiable live-in care jobs (one lasting 6 months+), strong recommendations, health insurance, valid driver's license, and 5+ years of verifiable ADL experience. Must be dog-friendly, self-motivated, and able to work with a single household long-term. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom; family pays via payroll service with on-the-books W-2. All terms/duties/pay negotiated with the family.
Required Qualifications
- Two verifiable live-in care jobs (one lasting 6 months or longer)
- Strong recommendations from at least 2+ previous home care clients (one from a live-in position lasting >6 months)
- Proof of health insurance or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver's license and willingness to drive
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable ADL experience for a paying employer
- Must be dog friendly and willing to assist with pet-care
- US-based with work authorization if not a citizen
- Pass a background and drug test
- Interest in a long-term, full-time, live-in position with one household
