Job Summary
Create and adjust daily live haul schedules to ensure efficient transportation across Perdue harvest facilities, aligning with plant production needs. Manage driver assignments, handle operational issues including ELD administration and asset coordination, and resolve problems independently with the team. Collaborate with drivers, contractors, and the scale house to optimize fleet utilization and address safety or PTO concerns. Track data for Agri Stats reports and communicate dispatch confirmations while ensuring plans meet hours-of-service requirements. Work primarily at a desk in an on-site office environment, utilizing Microsoft Office applications to support continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience with customer service in transportation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of and experience with DOT Hours of Service
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, stressful environment where issues must be resolved collaboratively in real time with minimal delay
- Systems aptitude and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of Live Operations, Transportation Operations, or Supply Chain Management
