Job Summary
Operate live haul trucks safely and efficiently to transport birds from company poultry farms, conducting equipment inspections and reporting issues to the Supervisor. Maintain product quality and integrity while adhering to biosecurity protocols, transportation regulations, and company policies. Pick up each flock as directed, communicate effectively with associates, maintenance staff, and growers regarding farm conditions, and keep trucks and work areas clean using proper techniques and PPE. Foster a positive work environment through cooperative communication and teamwork. First shift schedule; requires 12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience and ability to operate a manual CMV.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience within the previous 36 months
- positive test for drugs or alcohol in the previous 5 years
- Ability to communicate effectively with others in a manner that maintains harmony with co-workers
- ability to follow both written and verbal directions
- appropriate skill to drive a truck safely
- working knowledge of driving and traffic rules
- good hand and eye coordination
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Must have the ability to operate a manual CMV
