Job Summary
Operate live haul trucks safely and efficiently to transport live birds from company poultry farms to support production needs. Conduct equipment inspections following guidelines, maintain trucks and work areas, and keep product quality and integrity intact. Pick up each flock as directed while communicating with associates, maintenance staff, growers, and supervisors regarding farm conditions. Follow established delivery schedules, biosecurity protocols, and transportation regulations to ensure accurate delivery and operational continuity. Foster a positive work environment through cooperative communication and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience within the previous 36 months
- positive test for drugs or alcohol in the previous 5 years
- Ability to communicate effectively with others in a manner that maintains harmony with co-workers
- ability to follow both written and verbal directions
- appropriate skill to drive a truck safely
- working knowledge of driving and traffic rules
- good hand and eye coordination
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Must have the ability to operate a manual CMV
