Job Summary
Hang live chickens in moving shackles by picking them up at the thighs, placing feed, and securing feet while controlling the hydraulic bar for continuous product flow. Maintain personal protective equipment and strictly comply with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state, and federal laws. Work unsupervised with a sound work ethic, handling physical demands including standing eight hours, lifting up to 60 lbs, and rolling buggies weighing approximately 1,000 lbs in a wet, dusty environment with frequent heat exposure. Schedule includes nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts. Required Qualifications
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
- Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Hatchery or relative poultry industry experience
- Basic math functions and skills
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Stand up to 8 hours
- Lift up to 60 lbs
- Roll and push buggies (~1,000 lbs.)
