Job Summary
Wipe tables, sweep floors, and clean toys to maintain a safe, organized classroom environment. Prepare and distribute snacks, wash dishes, and refill water bottles while supervising children during meal and nap times. Assist with hygiene routines, diaper changes, and conflict resolution, and stand or sit with students during morning meetings. Check in with teachers throughout the day to support additional tasks and classroom needs. This part-time, 12-month role includes Monday-Friday, 1-6pm shifts and offers a salary range of $16-18 per hour with medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to bend, squat, and perform other physical tasks related to cleaning and child care
- Must be able to ascend/descend stairs within the school
- Ability to stand, sit, and move around the classroom for prolonged periods
- Must be able to dress for a variety of weather conditions
- Must be able to follow hygiene protocols and maintain a safe, clean environment
- Ability to help children with conflict resolution and foster a respectful, supportive classroom environment
- Positive communication skills to support collaboration with teachers, students, and parents
- Comfortable performing tasks that involve cleaning, organizing, and supervising children
- Prior experience working with children in an early childhood setting is preferred
