Job Summary
Conduct litter assessments in selected cities using the Litterati App to create baselines for infrastructure optimization and policy influence. Prepare for research by verifying locations and tools, then categorize photos and ensure 100% completion of assigned sites while maintaining safety and photo quality. Collaborate with the team to provide feedback that improves the data collection process. This summer phase requires completing mandatory training before assignment, with payments issued upon contract project completion.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of the Litterati Researcher training program
- Fluent in English
- Access to a smartphone mobile device, i.e. IOS 7 +, Android 6
- Ability to travel around your city and take photos of litter
- Passion for environmental stewardship
- Experience with mobile apps, online and desktop tools, Google Suite, and MS excel
- Autonomous, versatile, resourceful, with interest for technical systems
- Passion for local and community engagement and good understanding of how to navigate your city
- Globally-minded, ecologically aware
- Be prepared to travel to different locations around your city to document litter during daylight hours ~ 7am - 7pm
