Job Summary
Handle litigation claims for Personal Auto and Commercial Auto Liability policies by determining coverage, drafting reservations of rights, and conducting investigations through witness statements and document collection. Strategize with defense counsel and experts on defense cases and declaratory judgment actions while maintaining appropriate diaries, reserves, and claim files. Research and interpret case law, statutes, and coverage forms to properly adjust and conclude claims, prepare evaluations for settlement authority, and conduct onsite reviews of defense counsel. Adhere to Department of Insurance regulations and company policies. Requires college degree, five years of claims experience, and licensure; offers competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including 401k match, medical/dental, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- College Degree
- 5 years of applicable claims adjusting experience
- Knowledge of legal and medical terminology
- Excellent negotiation, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed claim adjuster
