Handle litigation claims for Personal Auto and Commercial Auto Liability policies by determining coverage, drafting reservations of rights, and conducting investigations through witness statements and document collection. Strategize with defense counsel and experts on complex cases, including declaratory judgment actions, while maintaining claim diaries and evaluating the use of field investigators. Research and interpret case law and coverage forms to prepare claim evaluations for settlement authority and establish proper indemnity reserves. Conduct onsite reviews of defense counsel and adhere to Department of Insurance regulations. Requires a college degree, five years of claims experience, and knowledge of legal terminology.
