Job Summary
The Litigation Secretary will provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals in a law firm setting, maintaining relationships with various stakeholders while producing high-quality work. Responsibilities include handling document setups for litigation cases, managing calendars, and organizing trial preparation. The role necessitates proficiency in discovery processes, court rules, e-Filing, and legal research tools. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting litigation attorneys/paralegals in a law firm setting
- Proficient in managing all aspects of the discovery process
- Demonstrated proficiency in handling State, Federal, and Appellate ECF sealed and public filings
- Ability to proofread materials with keen attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills for positive working relationships and effective communication
- Ability to multitask in a highly demanding, deadline-driven environment
- Experience with independently e-Filing documents in accordance with the federal and states court’s rules
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of patent litigation procedures is strongly preferred
- Affinity for and knowledge of current technology
- Ability to identify future challenges and be proactive in offering solutions before they materialize
- Initiative to identify areas and processes for improvement and takes action to implement change
