Litigation Secretary

Job Summary
Input, revise, and finalize correspondence, memoranda, and legal documents. File documents in federal and state courts, including e-filing, and prepare case shell documents for attorneys. Verify attachments, proofread for formatting and grammar, and maintain positive client relations. Review incoming mail, distribute to teams, and upload to the DMS. Prepare documents for delivery, process expense reports and vendor invoices, and manage client billing. Schedule meetings, arrange travel, and complete client intake forms while coordinating with other support departments. Assist with overflow coverage and team member support. Requires 5+ years of litigation secretarial experience, strong proofreading skills, and familiarity with iManage or Compulaw.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of litigation secretarial experience
- Strong proofreading skills
- Attention to detail
- Solid grammar/spelling skills
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Legal citation and legal terminology expertise
- The ability to organize, prioritize and meet the demands off multiple attorney assignments
- Flexibility to work overtime occasionally
- Good attendance and punctuality
