Job Summary
Lead and grow the insurance defense and coverage practice by handling all phases of litigation, including evaluation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Represent insurers and insureds in defense matters and coverage disputes while appearing in court, conducting depositions, and participating in mediations and arbitrations. Provide strategic counsel on risk assessment, coverage interpretation, and litigation strategy, and mentor associates to contribute to office leadership and long-term planning.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. From an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- 10+ years of litigation experience with substantial insurance defense and coverage work
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex matters
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
