Job Summary
Develop litigation strategy, manage clients, and oversee all aspects of commercial and real estate litigation, including first chair trial experience and oral advocacy. Lead cases from inception to completion while mentoring junior attorneys and handling matters under tight deadlines. Build and develop key client relationships to support the Firm's succession plan. Requires 10+ years of experience, a portable business, and Illinois bar eligibility. Flexible hybrid schedule with 10 days in-office monthly.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of litigation experience
- first chair trial experience in state and/or federal court
- developing litigation strategy
- managing clients
- mentoring junior attorneys
- overseeing and handling all other aspects of litigation
- Significant experience handling commercial and/or real estate litigation
- breach of contract
- shareholder/LLC disputes
- restrictive covenants
- breach of fiduciary duty
- UCC disputes
- title disputes
- issues relating to leases
- reciprocal operating agreements
- easements and other real estate related documents
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- confidence and demeanor to build relationships with the Firm's current clients
- drive and ability to develop additional client relationships and business
- Strong organizational and time management skills
