Litigation Paralegal

Job Summary
Conduct pre-claim investigations, legal research, and initial case assessments for litigation matters. Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents while filing with courts; prepare records, review exhibits, and analyze medical records for trial preparation. Contact government agencies to obtain public information and search court databases for case details. Assemble chronologies of facts, organize document productions from opposing parties, and prepare materials for expert witness review. Manage case files and draft responses to standard discovery demands including interrogatories and requests to produce. Requires 5+ years of litigation experience, proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to multitask independently in a hybrid arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures
- Experience with preparing records, assembling exhibits, pleadings, summarizing transcripts, medical record analysis, discovery, and trial preparation
- Experience drafting and responding to standard discovery demands (interrogatories, requests to produce documents, etc.)
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and document management systems
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear and effective communication skills both orally and in writing
- Must be able to multitask and successfully manage a variety of demands daily
- Must be able to work independently and be proactive
Desired Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a Paralegal Certificate
- 5+ years litigation paralegal experience in a fast-paced environment
- experience in insurance defense and transportation litigation
