Job Summary
Manage all facets of business litigation matters from discovery through trial, including large case management and electronic document productions using Relativity. Assist attorneys with document reviews for responsiveness, identifying privileged materials and redaction needs, while organizing exhibits, notebooks, and spreadsheets for court proceedings. Prepare for and attend onsite trials, arbitrations, and hearings, gathering client documentation for agency or court filings. Interact professionally with attorneys, staff, and clients to share goals and opportunities, ensuring strict confidentiality of client matters. Requires strong multitasking skills, independent and collaborative work habits, and the ability to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with the litigation process (i.e. case management, discovery, databases, privilege logs, court filings, e-filing, cite checking, Shepardizing, and Bluebooking)
- Extensive experience in preparing for and attending onsite trials and arbitrations
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Must be a flexible, proactive, self-starter, to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and timelines; ability to work under tight deadlines on detailed tasks
- Attention to details with strong follow up and follow through
- Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and related computer skills
- Proficient in Adobe Acrobat
- The ability to work overtime, including on some weekends and holidays with little to no advance notice
