Job Summary
Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and memoranda; e-file court documents in state and federal systems; conduct legal research and factual investigations; draft and serve summons; coordinate depositions; and maintain discovery indexes. Liaise between trial teams and third parties while aiding attorneys with discovery requests and witness preparation. Assist with case settlements and organize exhibits, briefs, and appendices. Requires experience in personal injury, workers compensation, or medical malpractice areas. Full-time on-site role with competitive pay and a bonus plan.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party, Medical Malpractice or other injury related practice areas
- At least 2 years of working experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
- Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail
- Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program
