Job Summary
Experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys before, during and after trials. Responsibilities include preparing pleadings, e-filing court documents in state and federal court, communicating with clients and court staff, conducting legal research and factual investigations, preparing discovery documents (interrogatories and responses), drafting and serving summons, coordinating and summarizing depositions, preparing trial binders and exhibits, drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate documents, handling administrative duties (calendaring hearings and deadlines, organizing case files), maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes, gathering information from various sources, liaising between trial teams and third parties, witness preparation, and assisting with case settlements. Relevant experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or related practice areas is preferred. The role is on-site in Irvine, California, and requires the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of litigation experience (required)
- Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred)
- Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred)
- Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury related practice areas (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; typing no less than 35 wpm
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage workload with minimal supervision
