Job Summary
Litigation Paralegal position at Morgan & Morgan supporting attorneys across the litigation lifecycle. Responsibilities include preparing pleadings, motions, affidavits, and complaints; e-filing in state and federal courts; client, court, and counsel communications; legal research and factual investigations; preparing discovery documents and responses; drafting and serving summons; coordinating and summarizing depositions; preparing trial binders and exhibits; drafting pleadings, motions, appellate documents, and filing them with the court; managing calendars, case files, and logistics; organizing exhibits and evidence; assisting with interrogatories and discovery requests; liaising between trial teams and third parties; witness preparation; and assisting with case settlements. Requires strong multitasking, organizational skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision. On-site role in Alpharetta, GA with full-time status. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and typing speed at least 35 wpm. Preferred candidates have an associate degree or certificate in paralegal studies and 2+ years of litigation experience, plus completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred)
- 2+ years of litigation experience (preferred)
- Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred)
- Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury related practice areas (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with calendaring depositions, mediations, and hearings
- Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, and court rules
