Job Summary
Prepare state and federal pleadings for e-filing with courts and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a busy legal environment. Create organization systems for high-volume discovery, organize large volumes of case-related documents, and locate specific trial exhibits or deposition transcripts quickly. Support attorney defense litigation practice by scheduling conferences, meetings, and hearings, while maintaining daily calendars and forecasting relevant deadlines. Save, file, and organize pleadings and motions daily, and enter billing time. Maintain professional demeanor with colleagues, clients, and court personnel. Join Litchfield Cavo's expanding Atlanta office as a first-string player in a national litigation defense firm.
Required Qualifications
- Certificated litigation paralegal
- At least five years of experience in civil litigation defense
- Expertise in e-filing in state and federal courts
- Knowledge of electronic filing requirements at state and federal courts in Georgia
- Experience and outstanding performance record with calendaring all events, including court filing deadlines
- Excellent writing skills (grammar, punctuation, vocabulary)
- Ability to work proactively, independently and as part of a team
- Self-directed, self-motivated, and effective under tight time constraints
- Judgment: Ability to organize, prioritize, and implement urgent tasks with strong attention to detail
- Outstanding work product
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and PDF maker (Nuance or Adobe Pro) and in navigating the Internet
