Job Summary
The Litigation Paralegal will assist in all aspects of assigned employment defense cases, including drafting motions and correspondence, managing documents, preparing chronologies, and assisting with trial preparation. Responsibilities encompass preparing pleadings and discovery for federal and state court matters and arbitration proceedings, analyzing and organizing documents, coordinating deposition preparation, managing case summaries, and serving as a liaison with courts and opposing counsel. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, particularly in employment law, and familiarity with various court rules and document management software. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, and the candidate must demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years minimum litigation paralegal experience
- Familiarity with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure as well as Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
- Ability to work under pressure/deadlines and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong sense of confidentiality and ability to exercise sound judgment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in employment law
- Experience working with federal and state court litigation cases from onset to trial phase
- Experience with class-actions and wage and hour productions
- Knowledge of EEOC/CCRD procedures
- Experience with billing hours with software programs – Intapp knowledge
- Experience with document management software - Netdocs knowledge
- Versed in trial preparation
- Proficiency in Windows environment including Word and Outlook
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact professionally with attorneys and support staff
