Job Summary

Manage all stages of litigation cases from onset through post-trial by assisting attorneys with research, analysis, and document production. Oversee discovery processes, including depositions, written discovery, and expert discovery, while conducting document reviews and tracking progress. Prepare witness interview memoranda, court transcripts, and substantive coding tools, and assist with law and motion practice by assembling pleadings and coordinating filings. Draft common court filings, ensure compliance with procedural rules, and perform cite-checking and proofreading. Support trial preparations by creating notebooks, organizing exhibits, and coordinating witness schedules, then manage post-trial filings and appeals. Maintain daily timekeeping records and adapt to shifting demands using litigation support applications like Relativity and Opus 2.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal within a law firm

  • Ability to communicate professionally and interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including management staff and support staff

  • Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, as well as document management
  • Proficiency with E-filing and litigation support applications such as Relativity, Opus 2 and Adobe Acrobat
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI), including core capabilities, limitations, and importance of data privacy, accuracy, verification, and ethical considerations within a professional services environment
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools) and incorporate them responsibly into day-to-day workflows to enhance daily work tasks as appropriate and/or directed
  • Proactive approach to learning and adapting to emerging AI and related technologies and contributes to a culture of innovation

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Paralegal studies from an accredited institution preferred
  • equivalent experience considered
  • Certified Paralegal a plus
  • Trial experience, including exhibit preparation, witness preparation and management
  • knowledge of subpoena preparation
  • experience working with judicial assistants and trial presentation vendors
  • experience assisting attorneys in the courtroom
