Litigation Paralegal

Job Summary
Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and staff while assisting in drafting pleadings, reviewing medical records, and preparing chronologies for hearings, depositions, and mediations. Review, gather, and organize client documents from production through discovery, and research records to assist in data gathering and database organization. Support trial preparation by drafting pre-trial pleadings, preparing exhibits, and providing live trial support. This role requires familiarity with New Mexico State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedures, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to manage multiple cases independently within a national law firm's Albuquerque office.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working as a litigation-focused paralegal
- Experience in litigation support and case management
- Ability to adapt to changes in work environment and manage multiple cases, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Experience drafting and organizing discovery – both written discovery and document production
- Experience preparing for and assisting at trial
- Familiarity with New Mexico State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedures
- Excellent analytical and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and technical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
