Job Summary
Litigation Paralegal in Houston supporting multiple firm practices with responsibilities including organizing litigation materials, status tracking, discovery, document gathering, depositions, factual research, cite checking, proofreading, court/agency filings, trial prep, case calendars and notebooks; requires strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and in teams, and proficiency with MS Office and e-discovery tools.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in traditional litigation paralegal functions
- Experience in energy litigation desirable
- Experience preparing for and/or attending trial strongly preferred
- Ability to perform quality control analysis and report issues with data
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with attorneys, other staff members and external entities
- Extremely strong attention to detail
- Excellent client service skills and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously under minimal supervision
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience with e-discovery platforms (Relativity, Opus2)
- Flexibility/availability to work overtime as needed
