Job Summary
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and subpoenas; file legal documents with courts and monitor litigation calendars to track critical deadlines. Organize case files, manage document collection and production during discovery, and coordinate with clients, medical providers, experts, and opposing counsel. Assist attorneys with trial preparation by creating binders, gathering evidence for hearings and mediations, and coordinating depositions and court appearances. Communicate with clients to obtain information and provide timely updates on case status. Requires minimum 2 years of plaintiff-side litigation experience, bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, and knowledge of California civil procedures. Located in Burbank, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Plaintiff Litigation Paralegal
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Strong understanding of California civil litigation procedures, rules, and deadlines
- Experience handling plaintiff-side personal injury, property damage, or landlord-tenant litigation matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
- Proficiency with legal case management systems and Microsoft Office applications
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with habitability litigation matters
- Experience preparing cases for mediation, arbitration, or trial
- Familiarity with e-filing systems and court procedures throughout California
- Experience working in a high-volume plaintiff-side law firm environment
