Job Summary

Meet with attorneys, clients, and professionals to discuss cases and evidence collection. Draft legal documents such as motions, affidavits, and discovery responses. Research statutes, regulations, and judicial decisions to provide written analysis. Perform discovery tasks including drafting subpoenas, compiling, and indexing documents. Prepare, organize, and retrieve case files containing evidence, depositions, and pleadings. Assist with trial preparation by attending trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations. Oversee case file organization and Case Management Spreadsheets, delegating tasks to assistants as needed. This role requires a Paralegal Certificate or five years of litigation experience, proficiency with e-discovery databases, and availability for overtime and travel.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to organize files and workflow
  • Must be available for overtime and travel, as needed
  • Paralegal Certificate/Degree OR five years of litigation paralegal experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Florida and U.S. District Court laws, court procedures, and electronic discovery
  • Experience with all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trial
  • Experience coordinating trial/arbitration logistics, including negotiating for workspace, setting-up remote office space, and coordinating with clients and vendors
  • Experience maintaining processes to collect, store, and maintain paper and electronic case files
  • Experience with court and administrative agency filings, including electronic or e-filings
  • Experience using e-discovery databases and litigation support software for document production, witness files and deposition transcripts and exhibits
