Job Summary
Litigation Paralegal to support Anderson Injury Lawyers in managing personal injury cases from filing through settlement and/or trial. Responsibilities include drafting and filing petitions, pleadings, motions, discovery responses, affidavits, subpoenas, and trial documents; e-filing in state and federal courts; communicating with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and experts; coordinating depositions and mediations; preparing trial binders and exhibits; calendaring deadlines and organizing digital case files; conducting factual investigations; assisting with settlements and negotiations of medical bills and subrogation liens; and performing other tasks as requested by attorneys.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal
- Proficient knowledge of the litigation process including medical records and bills to support damages, motions, discovery, evidence, court rules, and practices according to the TRCP
- Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision
- Professional and pleasant demeanor
- Outstanding writing and communication skills
- Ability and willingness to work with others as a team
