Job Summary
The Litigation Manager oversees a significant caseload involving the prosecution and defense of legal disputes. Responsibilities include managing claims assigned to outside counsel, preparing legal correspondence, conducting document reviews, negotiating settlements, and representing the company at depositions, arbitrations, and trials. The role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience as a litigation paralegal and a relevant bachelor’s degree are required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field
- Paralegal certification
- Minimum 5 to 7 years experience as litigation paralegal
- Ability to work independently and with initiative
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and plan against a set of constantly changing goals
Desired Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of the Company’s industry, products/services
- Working knowledge of civil litigation technology, practices, and procedures
- Familiarity with MS Word, Outlook, Excel and litigation management technology
