Job Summary

Draft and file legal documents including briefs, motions, and subpoenas; support discovery by preparing for depositions and responding to written requests. Manage document reviews, track progress, and assist trial preparation by creating notebooks, organizing exhibits, and coordinating witness schedules. Conduct cite checking, proofreading, and research for e-discovery and case management while coordinating multi-document filings in federal and state courts. Manage scheduling, travel arrangements, and billable time entry, maintaining organized physical and electronic filing systems. Perform administrative tasks such as sorting mail, answering inquiries, and preparing shipping materials. This role requires flexibility for overtime and proficiency with litigation software and AI tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Regular in-office presence is required for day-to-day operations, as well as for team meetings, training opportunities, and relationship building
  • This role requires expertise in litigation procedures, document management, and case preparation from onset through post-trial
  • Extensive experience in litigation support and proficiency with relevant software are essential
  • This candidate should be flexible to work overtime as needed
  • Comprehension of a variety of legal court documents, including complaints, answers, rulings, judgments, affidavits, motions, appeals, table of contents/authorities, subpoenas, court dockets, reports, memos, and correspondence
  • Ability to maintain high standards, use good judgment and seek out ways to contribute and anticipate needs
  • Strong attention to detail; established organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills, and ability to manage time effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, advanced communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to collaborate well in a team
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information
  • 1-3 years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial litigation
  • Established understanding of litigation laws as they relate to individuals, partnerships, and corporations
  • Experience managing large-scale document reviews and productions
  • Proficiency with rules for court document filings
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn new software applications quickly
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI), including core capabilities, limitations, and importance of data privacy, accuracy, verification, and ethical considerations within a professional services environment
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools) and incorporate them responsibly into day-to-day workflows to enhance daily work tasks as appropriate and/or directed
  • Proactive approach to learning and adapting to emerging AI and related technologies and contributes to a culture of innovation
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of banking/finance, real estate, and M&A is a plus
