Job Summary
Experienced litigation legal assistant to support two defense attorneys in employment-related litigation before state and federal courts. Handles correspondence, client communications, deadlines, discovery, Bates numbering and redaction, e-filing, time entry, document formatting, file management, and calendar coordination. Assists with hearings, arbitrations, and trials; collaborates with billing to ensure proper invoicing. Requires strong MS Office skills, typing speed (65 WPM), and solid defense-litigation experience; on-site in Melbourne, FL.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum four years of defense litigation experience
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Time entry experience
- e-Filing knowledge
- Bates numbering and redaction
- Ability to type at least 65 WPM
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
- Strong writing/grammar skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Organizational and multitasking abilities
