Job Summary
Experienced Litigation Legal Assistant needed to support attorneys in complex litigation and dispute resolution. Responsibilities include compiling, proofreading, and editing drafts of contracts, leases, licenses, and other legal documents; coordinating multi-document filings in Circuit, State, and Federal courts (e-filing); establishing and maintaining files; transcribing dictation, scheduling, calendaring, and billing; preparing templates and drafting legal documents such as briefs, motions, complaints, pleadings, subpoenas, affidavits, and summonses; coordinating with multiple firm departments; assisting in all stages of litigation from onset to post-trial; trial preparation including trial notebooks and exhibits; managing expenses and client billing; scheduling client appointments; handling correspondence; delivering outstanding client service; and complying with firm policies. Notable qualifications include proficiency with document management systems (iManage, Coyote), MS Office Suite, and notary requirement for Florida. Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills, and ability to work independently.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a legal environment or law firm
- Notary for the State of Florida required
