Job Summary
Detail-oriented Legal Assistant for Litigation in Insurance Defense to support attorneys with high-volume calendars, court filings, and trial preparation. Core duties include managing pleadings, drafting insurance-defense documents, e-filing in state and federal courts, maintaining organized case files, coordinating appearances, trial preparation logistics, and providing administrative support in a fast-paced litigation environment. Requires strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, familiarity with court filing procedures, and ability to coordinate with clients, adjusters, vendors, and experts. Office located in Houston, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role
- Comprehensive knowledge of court filing systems and legal documentation requirements
- Working knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, preferred
- Proficiency in calendaring software and legal case management tools
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
