Job Summary
The Litigation Docketing Specialist at Dickinson Wright PLLC is responsible for managing the docketing system, tracking litigation deadlines, and facilitating compliance with court rules. Duties include monitoring incoming pleadings, generating docket reports, ensuring compliance with jurisdictional rules, and coordinating with attorneys and paralegals to meet deadlines. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience in a legal setting, demonstrating proficiency in docketing software and an understanding of court filing procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a legal or administrative field
- Minimum of two years of experience in a docketing role within a law firm or legal department, with a focus on litigation
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local court rules and calendar management
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with docketing software and case management systems (e.g., CoreRelate, Court Alert or similar platforms)
- Strong understanding of electronic court filing procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
