Job Summary
Handle a caseload of personal injury and medical malpractice matters from intake through resolution by drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery demands. Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials as needed while developing litigation strategies and providing clients with regular updates. Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers and collaborate with colleagues in litigation and transactional practice groups to deliver comprehensive client service. Required Qualifications
- On-site five days a week at the Rochester, NY office
- At least 5 years of litigation experience
- Active license to practice law in New York State
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the New York State Bar
- Minimum 5 years of experience in litigation
- Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Client-focused, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional
