Job Summary
Draft Case Management Orders, organize and analyze case information, and provide reports to carriers. Propound and respond to written discovery, draft laws and motions, and coordinate with clients and experts. Attend site inspections, take and defend depositions including experts, and prepare for all phases of trial, including first and second-chair opportunities. This role involves active participation in litigation for catastrophic personal injury and construction defect cases at Macdonald & Cody, LLP.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Prior insurance defense experience
- Be an active member of the California State Bar in good standing
- Be able to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
- Have excellent analytical, writing, and research skills
- Be able to work in a team setting
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to commute to Orange County, surrounding counties, and on occasion to central and northern California for court appearances and depositions
