Job Summary
Prepare contracts, complaints, briefs, and motions while conducting complex legal research, interviews, depositions, and trials. Provide legal counsel and negotiate on behalf of clients, ensuring detailed and accurate client records are maintained. Supervise paralegals and administrative assistants to develop case strategies and handle a high caseload. This Civil Litigation/Personal Injury Attorney role requires NJ Bar admission with five years of experience, 8 am to 5 pm hours with potential weekend availability, and bilingual Spanish skills preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Civil Litigation/Personal Injury
- Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients
- Ability to handle a high caseload
- Detail-oriented, organized, and quick
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent public speaking skills
- Ability to work cases either independently or as part of a team, to develop case strategies
- Must have a driver's license
- Must be computer literate
- Weekends may be required, especially at the beginning of employment
Desired Qualifications
- NY Bar is a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Portuguese is a plus
- Experience with Landlord/Tenant, Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation, Family Law (divorce, child support, custody, TRO, etc.), and/or other areas of law
