Job Summary
Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution, drafting and responding to written discovery while taking and defending depositions. Prepare, draft, and argue motions, then participate in court appearances, status conferences, mediations, and arbitrations. Develop case strategy and communicate directly with clients to provide strategic counsel and regular updates. Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices on complex matters and assist with trial preparation. Requires Illinois bar admission and 3-8 years of defense litigation experience. Base salary ranges from $140,000 to $180,000 with a hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Admission to practice law in Illinois
- 3-8 years of defense litigation experience
- Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, case management, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to assume increasing responsibility
