Job Summary
Assist in the defense and prosecution of complex litigation matters by conducting research, drafting pleadings and motions, and collaborating with senior attorneys to develop case strategy. Prioritize maritime defense experience where available. Maintain strong research, writing, and analytical skills while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Admitted to practice law in Texas with five years of litigation experience in a law firm or government setting. This role supports a client's legal team in Houston.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the State of Texas or eligible for admission
- 5 years of litigation experience in a law firm or government setting
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a litigation-focused practice area, such as maritime defense matters
- Experience with e-discovery and case management software
- Certification in a litigation-related area, such as mediation or arbitration
- Bilingual or multilingual candidates
