Job Summary
Litigation Assistant needed at Morgan & Morgan to manage the law firm’s day-to-day operations and support the legal team. Responsibilities include scheduling calendar hearings and deadlines, organizing case files and exhibits, maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes, drafting and proofreading correspondence and legal documents (pleadings and contracts), researching regulations and legal articles, managing client billing, coordinating with clients and witnesses for meetings, depositions, and hearings, and maintaining filing systems. Ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Requires a high school diploma or GED; associates degree/paralegal certification/bachelor’s degree preferred; at least 2 years of administrative experience (preferably in a law firm); bilingual English/Spanish preferred; experience in personal injury, workers’ compensation, premises liability, or related areas preferred. Remote or hybrid work is not eligible.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associates degree in paralegal studies, paralegal certificate, or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Bilingual English and Spanish (preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant (preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department)
- Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury related practice areas (preferred)
- Proficient in calendar depositions, mediation, and hearings
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Extensive computer and database expertise, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and typing no less than 35 wpm
