Job Summary
Litigation Assistant will support the law firm’s daily operations and legal team through administrative duties such as scheduling calendar hearings and deadlines, organizing case files and exhibits, maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes, drafting and proofreading correspondence and legal documents, researching regulations and legal articles, and assisting with client billing. The role involves coordinating meetings, depositions, and client/witness communications; managing filing systems (paper/electronic); improving administrative processes for efficient workflow; and performing other duties as assigned. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of administrative experience in a legal setting, strong problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and may be bilingual in English and Spanish. This is an on-site position at Morgan & Morgan, with a focus on supporting personal injury-related practice areas; familiarity with motions, discovery, and litigation documentation is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associates degree in paralegal studies, paralegal certificate, or bachelor's degree preferred
- Bilingual English and Spanish (preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant (preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department)
- Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury related practice areas (preferred)
- Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; 35 wpm
