Litigation Assistant

Job Summary
Schedule calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, and manage logistics for litigation matters. Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes while organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices. Collect, examine, and organize evidence for attorney review, draft and proofread correspondence, and research regulations to assist with reports. Manage client billing by preparing and sending bills, communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, and maintain documents in filing systems. Provide general administrative assistance including calendar maintenance and travel arrangements. This role works closely with a lead attorney and litigation paralegal in an on-site environment at Morgan & Morgan.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant preferably in a law firm setting or in a corporate legal department
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor's Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate (preferred)
- Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party or other injury related practice areas (preferred)
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a great attitude and minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills
