Job Summary
Litigation Assistant position in Downtown Los Angeles (hybrid) supporting three Partners at a growing full-service law firm. Responsibilities include opening, maintaining, and closing client files; organizing filing systems; eFiling in state and federal courts; preparing and filing regulatory documents and compliance reports; managing calendars and coordinating meetings and events; handling extensive client contact via phone, email, and in-person; drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents and redline comparisons; maintaining attorney credit card reconciliations and time entry; and other internal procedures. Requires 3+ years of relevant experience, strong document production skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and related legal software.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of law firm administrative support experience working as a litigation assistant or legal secretary
- eFiling in the state and federal courts
- Prior experience with commercial litigation, including drafting legal documents, managing case files, preparing discovery materials, and organizing exhibit binders is required
- Strong production skills with ability to produce accurate work product when transcribing tapes, formatting documents, inputting data, editing, copying, scanning and transmitting text, data and graphics is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Internet research skills, document management systems, and attorney time entry software is required
