Job Summary
Handle all phases of New York defense litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while conducting research to prepare comprehensive reports. Participate in court conferences, depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings as appropriate, managing case strategy and deadlines to ensure compliance with client and carrier guidelines. Maintain accurate time records and billing entries. This role requires initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of litigation experience
- 1+ years of New York Labor Law Experience
- Experience in defense litigation
- Admission to practice in New York
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Professionalism
- Demonstrated work ethic
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines consistently
- Trial experience
- Federal court or appellate experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience handling matters such as insurance defense, professional liability, product liability, labor law, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, or general liability
- Experience in a law firm setting
- Additional bar admissions in NJ, CT, or PA
- At least 1+ years of New York Labor Law Experience
