Job Summary
Literacy Specialist provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 literacy intervention, reading and writing instruction, and enrichment; coordinates instructional approaches and professional development in literacy under the K-8 LASH Coordinator; supports curriculum implementation, data interpretation (MCAS, common assessments), and communicates with parents about literacy; collaborates with the principal, K-8 LASH Coordinator, and faculty; participates on interview teams and supports district-wide literacy program development and professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- DESE Licensure as a Reading Specialist.
- Minimum seven (7) years experience as a classroom teacher.
